Vermont Privacy Policy
As an “opt-in” state, Vermont’s Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information Regulation and the Vermont Fair Credit Reporting Act afford Vermont consumers with certain rights that are not disclosed in Guaranteed Rate Affinity’s standard privacy notice. Below is an explanation of those rights and how Guaranteed Rate Affinity respects them.
Financial institutions may not share a Vermont consumer’s nonpublic personal financial information to a nonaffiliated third party without that consumer’s written, or if the consumer agrees, electronic authorization. Guaranteed Rate Affinity treats all consumers with a Vermont mailing address as if they have limited sharing with nonaffiliates as described on page 1 of our privacy notice.
For joint marketing, we will only disclose your name, contact information, and information about your transactions and experiences with Guaranteed Rate Affinity.
The Vermont Fair Credit Reporting Act prohibits any company, including affiliates of Guaranteed Rate Affinity, from obtaining information about a Vermont consumer’s creditworthiness without first obtaining that consumer’s consent. Guaranteed Rate Affinity treats all consumers with a Vermont mailing address as if they have limited sharing with affiliates as described on page 1 of our privacy notice except when a Vermont consumer has opted-in to such sharing and has not subsequently revoked his or her opt-in direction.
Guaranteed Rate Affinity takes the security of all its consumers’ nonpublic personal information very seriously. We have security practices and procedures in place to ensure the confidentiality of such information in accordance with our privacy and cybersecurity policies. As described in our privacy policy, Guaranteed Rate Affinity restricts access to the nonpublic personal information of each consumer to those employees and agents who we determine need to know that information to provide products or services to that consumer, service that consumer’s account, or maintain the systems that support that consumer’s account.
