Jay Franklin, Vice President, Mortgage Lending, has been originating mortgage loans in the Maryland area for over 25 years. Jay has received numerous awards throughout his career for his production and high level of customer service. He shares, "even after over 25 years of being in the mortgage industry, I still love helping buyers achieve their home buying goals. Whether helping clients purchase their first home, or assisting customers with second homes and investment properties, I truly enjoy my work and am honored to become their mortgage resource for a lifetime."  
Jay's work ethic was instilled in him early on and has helped him excel in the mortgage business. A lifelong Marylander, he was active in athletics growing up and continued through college. He explains, "The nature of the mortgage industry is competitive, and my background in playing and coaching sports has served me well." He adds, "In addition to helping people, I like that every day is different. It is a very fast paced industry and is by no means a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job."

When Jay is not working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kara, and two boys, Brooks and Tommy, and his chocolate lab, Hershey.
